Utzon’s masterpiece from the inside on Architecture Day at Fredensborghusene

On Architecture Day 2025, Fredensborghusene opened its entire complex to visitors and architecture enthusiasts under the theme ‘Everyday Life’.

What is it really like to live in a house designed by Jørn Utzon? Many people had the opportunity to explore this question when Fredensborghusene opened its doors on Architecture Day on 6 October. Guests were given a unique glimpse into the iconic complex, where they could visit a private home, take a guided tour of the museum and experience Utzon’s special ability to create interplay between light, space and nature.

The day also featured an architecture workshop with nature as its starting point, led by architects Charlotte Carstensen and Julie Dufour from the All About A architectural firm. A local school class, among others, took part and had the opportunity to work with architecture in practice.
